Caregiver of the month of October: Angelique Devlin
Angelique has proven to be a hardworking and trustworthy caregiver with ExpertCare over this past year. She is being recognized for always going the extra mile to help her consumer succeed. Even with the challenges due to covid over the past year, she helped her consumer find ways to adapt to a new normal. She’s been able to connect with her consumer, to create a solid relationship even on his most challenging days. She’s also a teammate with her consumers entire healthcare team to ensure he is receiving the best care possible. Angelique takes such passion and interest in her consumers to make sure they believe in themselves. ExpertCare truly appreciates everything she does and is very proud to have her represent ExpertCare in the field. Thank you for your hard work and dedication in changing the lives of others.

The Annual Walk-a-Mile In My Shoes is back! It will be taking place on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the State Capitol Building in Lansing from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Please see the WAM flyer for all details!
Caregiver of the month of September: Audra Austin
Audra has been providing excellent care with her consumers over the past year she’s been with ExpertCare. We’ve had nothing but positive feedback from the Supports Coordinator of the consumers she provides for. On multiple occasions, she’s proven herself to be dependable and can always be counted on to get the job done. Audra has stepped up on numerous occasions to help her consumers if they’re in need of additional hours to help assist with their goals. We appreciate her professionalism and for always reporting any concerns she has with her consumers if she feels their goals need to be adjusted to better accommodate their growth. ExpertCare truly appreciates everything she does and is very proud to have her represent ExpertCare in the field. Thank you for your hard work and dedication in changing the lives of others.

COUNTY FISCAL YEAR END IS 9/30/2021
ExpertCare must receive all unpaid shifts and expense reports with dates worked through 9/30/2021 by Monday October 4, 2021 at 8AM. If we do not receive your time worked or expense reports by this time, it cannot be processed as we have very tight deadlines due to county year end.
IT IS IMPERATIVE WE RECEIVE ALL SHIFTS AND EXPENSE REPORTS BY THIS TIME!

The Vista Center, a Drop In-center for DD and MI adults, has relocated to inside the Genesee Valley Mall in the Penny’s wing (3341 S. Linden Road, Flint). The new site includes an Art Gallery in which consumers can exhibit their work. Hours of operation are M-W-F from 11am to 4pm with special field trip on other days. Caregiver of the month of August: Rakeya Hall
Rakeya has been working with Expertcare for a little over six months. She’s being nominated by staff for always being reliable, kind, and caring. Even though she has another full-time job outside of ExpertCare, she continues to devote time to her consumer. She is consistently devoted to working with him on his goals. There have been changes along the way with her case and she continues to be flexible and accommodating. We look forward to seeing Rakeya continue to grow and shine in her position as a devoted caregiver. ExpertCare truly appreciates everything she does and is very proud to have her represent ExpertCare in the field. Thank you for your hard work and dedication in changing the lives of others.
