Caregiver of the Month of November: Chanelle Garnsey
We are excited to recognize Chanelle Garnsey as our Caregiver of the Month! Her Recipient’s guardian describes her as “phenomenal,” and it is easy to see why! Chanelle consistently goes above and beyond to help her Recipient work toward his goals while making learning fun and meaningful.
From visiting the park to learn how to fish, practicing cooking skills, and collecting and painting rocks for Halloween, Chanelle finds creative ways to build independence and develop new skills. She also uses challenging moments as opportunities to teach resilience, reminding her Recipient, “This is how we deal with adversity—this is what we do and how we handle it.”
Chanelle’s impact reaches beyond her Recipient, as his mom shared that she is actually learning from Chanelle how to work with her own son! This speaks volumes about Chanelle’s patience, compassion, and dedication. We are incredibly grateful to have her on the ExpertCare team and appreciate the meaningful difference she makes for the families we serve. Congratulations, Chanelle!
